NORTHWEST STEAKHOUSE CHAIN "EL GAUCHO" TO OPEN FLAGSHIP LOCATION AT HOTEL INDIGO


The premier and wildly popular Pacific Northwest steakhouse staple El Gaucho has announced its plans to expand into the new Hotel Indigo at The Waterfront in Vancouver, Washington developed by Kirkland Development.

 

With a projected opening of late 2020, El Gaucho will take the flagship restaurant space at Hotel Indigo, a 138-key hotel. The restaurant location at The Waterfront will occupy 8,500 sq. ft. of premier ground-floor space at the hotel and will serve as its anchor restaurant. The 8th floor patio and terrace space will also be occupied by El Gaucho,offering Columbia river views and an intimate setting. Attached to the hotel will be Kirkland Tower Condominiums, a luxury 40-unit residential development with Columbia River views and steps away from retail, shopping and recreation at The Waterfront.


The Waterfront, a 32-acre, $1.5 billion development on Vancouver's south side is underway with Phase I completion. Featuring a dramatic cable-stay pier, a $35 million waterfront park with green space and art installations,3,300 new residential units and more than 1.25 million sq. ft. of Class A office space, The Waterfront is an ambitious development centered on revitalizing Vancouver's riverfront space.

 

El Gaucho's location in The Waterfront, Vancouver is an addition to the restaurant chain's other locations in Seattle, Bellevue, Tacoma and Downtown Portland. The restaurant is one of a growing number of businesses settling into brand new retail spaces at The Waterfront, including Pizzeria Sul Lago, Maryhill Winery, WildFin American Grill and Twigs Bistro.
