PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

In 2005 Nicholas, George’s son, joined his father and uncle at Real Estate Investment Group. Nicholas’ fresh focus and undeniable drive centering on investment and land sales, multifamily development, large project retail leasing, and redevelopment ventures has had him involved in over $600 million in real estate projects and over half a million square feet of retail development since joining the company.

As a MBA graduate from UCLA Anderson’s School of Management, Nicholas’ financial background continually plays an integral role in analyzing and marketing investment sales to both local and national investors, while his development experience benefits both land buyers and sellers in coordinating successful development transactions. This economic savviness and acumen has also proven to be an invaluable asset when serving private equity clients, large financial institutions, developers, property owners and buyers.

Commonly, Nicholas is the key liaison between developers and retailers, frequently playing a critical part of negotiating leases with national and regional tenants. Often times, as a leasing agent, Nicholas undertakes a development consultant role for first time developers, his comprehensive understanding of the complete development process coinciding with his commitment to maximizing the client’s value at both the lease up and sale stages.

George N. Diamond

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

George specializes in apartment and office investment, land sales urban and suburban, and retail leasing. Over the past 35+ years George has personally sold and leased over $1.3 billion in transactions. Having been involved with thousands of leases and sales over the years covering office, retail, and larger multi-family and single-family developments in the Portland Metropolitan area, George’s knowledge and experience is limitless. A few of George’s larger sales include the sale of the 352 unit Cyan Apartments, the 264 unit Orenco Garden Apartments, and the 16 acres to William and Dane for the development of the South Waterfront. Additionally, George has assisted the Progress Quarry reclamation – a 100 acre redevelopment in Beaverton which will have over 750 homes and 500,000sf of retail and office space when completed. Further expanding his resume, George has worked with a multitude of developers, including Gramor Development, aiding in land acquisitions, lease up and sales for neighborhood shopping centers since 1985; Alliance Residential in their acquisition and development of 152 units in the Pearl District; and West Hills Development, and Polygon Homes in their acquisitions of numerous suburban residential/apartment developments. George has been instrumental in land-assemblage for the Fred Meyer Canby shopping center, the Vancouver Target center on 164th and Mill Plain, Murray Hill shopping center, the new Progress Quarry retail center, and the Albertson and Target centers in Sherwood and South Waterfront. Not limited to brokering, George has also developed apartments, condos, and retail in Portland Metro Area.

The most recent exciting, large scale development in which George is lending his expertise as a real estate broker and minority partner is The Waterfront Vancouver, a 34 acre development site purchased from Boise Cascade and the Port of Vancouver on the Columbia River in downtown Vancouver, Washington. This modern new development is being designed for 21 spectacular city blocks and the built-out value is estimated at 1.3 billion.

Michael N. Diamond

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

Michael N. Diamond is the Co-Founder and current managing partner of Real Estate Investment Group (REIG), first establishing the boutique brokerage with brother, George, in 1978. With more than 36 years of specialized experience in the local urban and suburban markets, Mike has hundreds of successful transactions across diverse extents of commercial real estate to his credit. Including land acquisitions, site assemblages, development, re-purposing and redevelopment of existing commercial space, investment sales representing buyers and sellers, as well as landlord-tenant representation for office and retail leasing.

Mike has extensive experience in working cooperatively with city planners, neighborhood groups, public and private entities, and consultants to reach consensus and move complex projects forward to completion. His development capabilities bring a unique set of skills and expertise to his real estate clients, especially those who have properties with compound zoning and development issues to mitigate. In addition to brokerage, Mike has been an instrumental figure in the development of retail, office and multi-family properties, as well as the renovation and re-purposing of existing buildings in both Portland and Lake Oswego key markets. These projects have largely been cited for the restoration and revitalization of their immediate district area and neighborhoods, enhancing livelihood and live/workability while dedicated to the clients’ end goal as the paramount priority.

Michelle D. Rozakis

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

Michelle, a principal broker at Real Estate Investment Group, has been instrumental in growing the retail leasing arm of REIG. Michelle specializes in both Landlord and Tenant Representation focusing on new construction projects. With a Masters Degree in Conflict Resolution, mediation and communication play a vital role in developing and building strong fundamental relationships and structuring successful transactions between tenants and landlords. Her genuine love for creating these partnerships and “place-making” motivates her to work on each project to make it the best that it can be. Having been involved in a larger number of mixed-use and new construction projects, Michelle also acts as a development consultant to help developers ensure that they are designing retail spaces that maximize the value for both Landlords and Tenants alike.

Michelle joined the company in 2010 after three years as lead sales agent at Waterfront Pearl - $100 million mixed use project built in 2008 on the Willamette River in the Pearl District in Portland, OR. Prior to real estate, Michelle graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder and earned a Master’s graduate degree in Intercultural Conflict Resolution from Portland State University.

Ian joined Real Estate Investment Group in 2012 with an intentional and motivated focus on the retail leasing aspect of commercial real estate. Brooke H. Subert

Brooke Subert joined Real Estate Investment Group in spring 2014. Dually licensed in both Oregon and Washington, specializing in retail leasing and sales, Brooke has proven to be exceptional in her chosen field, closing over 40 retail leases in her first year as an emerging broker. Her extensive knowledge of the Portland and Vancouver retail markets makes her a key asset in lease negotiations and Landlord representation, and her hands – on, high touch approach to her clients’ needs is the foundation on which she continues to build her industry reputation, colleague and clientele relationships. This practice has established Brooke as the chief representation for several large development groups and tenants throughout both Oregon and Washington.

Brooke began her real estate career with an internship at Caruso Affiliated in Beverly Hills, California. Brooke is actively involved in the Commercial Association of Brokers and the International Council of Shopping Centers, as well as a committee member for the ICSC Next Gen Group. Outside of her professional endeavors, Brooke is an avid marathon runner and enjoys traveling with her husband.

Ryan Manougian

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

Ryan has been a licensed real estate broker since 2006, and has spent that time involved in a multitude of sectors within the industry ranging from property management and residential real estate, to commercial real estate. Since 2009 Ryan has been expanding his experience, portfolio of skills, and industry relationships as the Director of Real Estate for Subway in Oregon and SW Washington, and was responsible for the growth of 65 new locations during his tenure which resulted in over $83,000,000 in gross sales. While managing the high impact responsibilities of his position with Subway, Ryan found the best approach was through a campaign of proactivity, diligence, communication, and education, not only for his prospective clients, franchisees, and tenants, but for himself as well. As the local representative for a global brand responsible for the growth, protection, and mentorship for his local franchisees, he worked intimately with the real estate community immersing himself in volunteer work.

Ryan first became involved in ICSC Next Generation in 2009 and has since had the honor of representing Oregon as the State Retail Chair. His experience over the last six years directly results in his effectiveness when working with developers, landlords, real estate attorneys, fellow brokers, and financial institutions. A Portland native and University of Oregon Alumna, Nikki’s passion for her hometown shows in her contributions to projects. In addition to being a licensed Real Estate Broker, Nikki is LEED AP ID+C Certified with an acute understanding of environmental challenges and green building standards. Prior to joining REIG, Nikki was a well-reputed professional interior designer with international architectural firm Zimmer Gunsul Frasca (ZGF) for seven years. Her penchant for professionalism, keen negotiations, attention to detail, creative space planning and long track record of successfully managing cooperative projects made her move to commercial real estate a natural progression and have again earned her the respect of her clients and colleagues alike.
